Fresno-Madera Medical Society Alliance

A component Alliance to the California Medical Association Alliance, Inc.

Purpose:

*Assists the Fresno-Madera Medical Society in their programs for the advancement of medicine and public health.

*Promotes health education projects and charitable activities that improve the health and quality of life in the community.

History:

The Fresno-Madera Medical Society Alliance had its beginnings during a meeting at the University-Sequoia Club on December 4, 1935 - 52 years after the formation of the Fresno-Madera Medical Society in 1883. Fifty-two charter physicians spouses attended and were considered members if they paid their $2.00 dues.
